Aspro Kavos Holidays
Want the neon nightlife? But also want to slip away like Cinderella for some beauty sleep? Holidays in Aspro Kavos are the answer.
Kavos' smaller, quieter sister, Aspro Kavos sits at the far end of Kavos beach. And that little bit of distance make all the difference. While Kavos is more of a 'go sunbathing go paragliding go drinking go dancing then do it all again' kinda place, Aspro Kavos takes it all a little bit easier. The soft sand beaches are that little bit emptier. The water sports are a tiny bit gentler. Aspro Kavos holidays are more about relaxation - or recuperation from the night before.
Unlike its noisy neighbour, Aspro Kavos puts some of Corfu's raw natural beauty on your doorstep. Stroll out onto Cape Aspro Kavos for stunning views from the headland across the sea and explore the ruined remains of the Cape's monastery. For a taste of real Greece, the tavernas by Aspro Kavos's sparkling seashore are recommended for their Greek dishes.
Aspro Kavos' smattering of bars and clubs would be plenty in any other location. And still is if you want a night out near your hotel - somewhere like the Acrodelon Apartments puts you near the action. But Aspro Kavos is undoubtedly overshadowed by the louder, brighter Kavos. The drum beats simply draw you in. Out on the dance floor, with the drinks flowing and the DJs playing garage and R'n'B, it's good to know you've got somewhere quiet to recover.
'Relaxation comes easy in this quiet resort, but when you want to step things up, energetic Kavos waits next door.'
Located next to Corfu's top party destination Kavos, small Aspro Kavos doesn't even try to emulate the antics of its bigger, brasher neighbour. In fact, it's very happy in its own skin, with a laid-back attitude and tranquil pace that contrasts starkly with Kavos' round-the-clock energy. Everything here seems intentionally geared to induce a state of relaxation - even the scenery. Backed by craggy mountains and flat olive plains, the town is blessed with an inviting five-mile long sandy beach. The soft sands and warmth of the water give it bucket-loads of family appeal, but even if you're here to chill out with friends, you can't fault it as somewhere kick off your shoes and take things easy. And just to add an extra flourish to a few hours spent here, there are heart-lifting views over the island of Paxos to the south. Within the resort you'll find more than enough traditional tavernas, shops and sociable bars to keep you fed, watered and entertained. And as if that's not enough, you're sure to be led out of town by buses to Corfu Town and boat excursions to Paxos with its magical sea grottoes and intimate fishing villages. Back at home, there's always the siren call of Kavos to tempt you after dark. With its fun-loving bars, high-energy nightspots and dance-til-dawn clubs just a cab ride away, it's there, ready and waiting, just in case you find yourself craving a night on the tiles.
Aspro Kavos has the most fabulous views across the sea to the small island of Paxos. Paxos can only be reached by boat and has therefore managed to preserve its unique culture. There is a real sense of community here, and Greek hospitality will greet you on every step of your visit. Traditional industry is still thriving - you'll often see local fishermen hauling full nets onto the shore, and may well sample some of their fresh catch at one of the village restaurants. This beautiful island is definitely worth a day trip and can be most easily accessed from Aspro Kavos.
